The Cat and Dog animal shelter is an animal welfare organisation that has been active in UK since 1984.

Thanks to our shelter and our social boarding service, we take in many dogs and cats each year that have been abandoned, mistreated or lost. With us, every life matters: no euthanasia for convenience, and no judgement based on age, breed or health, only safety, care and a second chance.

Every day, our shelter takes in dogs and cats who have been abandoned, lost or mistreated. Some arrive terrified, others starving, and many simply need time… and kindness. Your donation helps us give them a safe place, the care they need, and above all the hope of a family.

£5 = a tin of wet food / a small top-up bag of litter
£10 = a meal + litter for one animal

We prioritise thoughtful, long-term adoptions: a chat with the team, a meeting, advice, and then adoption when everything is right for both the animal and the family.

Yes. Foster families are a huge help, especially for babies, animals recovering from illness or those who need a calm environment. We support you at every step.
